We are currently looking to hire an Independent Contractor (Courier) in the Kingston Area (Ontario) to partner with us.


Required availability: Monday – Friday

*Possible weekend work (need based)

Rates: To be discussed.

Description of Independent Contractor:

  • Your company is an incorporated business that is skilled at final mile.
  • You and your company are skilled at building strong partnerships with customers and businesses and ensuring all deliveries and pickups are successful.
  • You can be the business owner willing to cover your own route(s)
  • Proactively deliver small packages to various customers and businesses throughout assigned territory
  • Practice safe driving practices
  • Exhibits ownership over the customer experience
  • Communicate effectively with Dispatch on day to day operation
  • Complete ownership of your business needs and performance.

 


Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Valid G class Driver’s license
  • A Sprinter van will be required (purchased or leased)
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Proof of valid commercial insurance and registration 
  • Incorporation Certificate & business bank account 
  • Strong geographic knowledge of the region
  • Self-motivator/self-starter who is comfortable in working independently on a daily basis
  • Strategic territory management
  • Strong problem solving/negotiating and strong customer focus skills
  • Highly motivated and driven individual
  • Ability to understand customer needs
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Related industry experience would be an asset
