Job Description

Dicom Transportation Group is currently hiring for a Warehouse Lead Hand to join our team at our Ottawa terminal!

Main Responsibilities

Ensuring merchandise departs terminal without delay

Checking trailers’ arrival time reports and ensuring that each trailer is on time

Checking special pallets and conducting searches for specific clients

Meeting clearing deadlines

Ensuring line set-up for sort

Ensuring that all products are unloaded and sorted correctly

Auditing coders

Ensuring the weighing, validation and identification of freight

Reviewing productivity

New employees’ training

Attending daily meeting

Meeting with employees regarding disciplinary measures, work accidents and appraisals

Implementing preventive measures relating to freight handling

Analyzing previous day's shipments for team meeting purposes

When freight remains in warehouse, ensuring production

Checking warehouse equipment to make sure all equipment is safe for operational use

First-step discipline

In charge of forklift maintenance

Communicates regularly with the Manager

Communicates with the HR Department, Clients, Payroll Department, Dispatchers, Dicom Tracing Department

4:00pm to 12:30am

Forklift Experience with certification

High school diploma



Good communication skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

3 to 5 years experience in employee supervision
