    Our Hamilton, Ontario terminal is growing and we are looking to hire a Warehouse Manager to join our team.



    

Main responsibilities



  • Managing and supervising warehouse employees and front line managers.
  • Making sure the brokers are following Dicom rules by communicating with them openly.
  • Ensuring proper staging of all line-haul trailers.
  • Dealing with prescribed picking delays.
  • Preparing employee payroll; validating daily working hours.
  • Responsible for efficient operation of warehouse equipment
  • Preparing late and misdirect parcel reports and communicating the action plan to the team

  • Implementing preventive measures relating to parcel handling.
  • Training the coach and the employees for transition purposes.
  • Ensuring performance of proper warehouse maintenance by employees.
  • Meeting with employees regarding disciplinary measures.
  • Occasionally meeting candidates interviewed for open positions.
  • Justifying Misdirect parcel’s errors.
  • Validating and preparing production reports.

Job Requirements

Position requirements

   DEC in transportation logistics or equivalent

   Availability for night work and flexible schedules

  Strong eadership skills

  Good communication skill
  Resourcefulness

  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and AS 400

  3 to 5 years’ experience in employee supervision

  Warehousing experience
